Ahead of the 2023 budget debate held in parliament on December 1, 2022, the MP for Bolgatanga Central, Hon. Isaac Adongo strongly criticized the Vice President for his failure to take Ghana’s economy to where it should be.
He then compared this to the Manchester United’s defender Harry Maguire by saying “There’s a player called Harry Maguire who used to play for a certain team in England (Leicester City). This player was throwing his body everywhere onto the pitch to defend when at his former club.
Manchester United then realized he was good and he could save their defensive crisis so they went and bought him.
When he came to Manchester United, he was tackling and injuring his own team mates and giving assists to the opponents to score goals against his own team Man United.
He continued that even when the opponents fail to score against his club after he Maguire has provided assists to them, he would score for them.
Dr. Bawumia when in opposition was bragging all over the country including his conference at the Central University to be given the power to properly manage our economy and save us from the economic crisis and incompetent Mahama government.
He’s then given the power, and he is putting his own economy at risk. Dr. Bawumia is undoubtedly an economic Maguire!”
